Keele University Medicine Admissions Guide

Learn about Keele University Medicine admissions, including UCAT, BMAT, interview format, and academic requirements for 2025 entry.

Selection Process

Keele University has a multi-step selection process for home and international applicants:

  1. Home Applicants: Must take the UCAT.
  2. International Applicants: Must take the BMAT.
  3. UCAT Score: Applicants with a total UCAT score lower than 1,700 or Band 4 in SJT will not be considered.

The process involves the following:

  • Step 1: Your application is first screened to ensure it meets the minimum requirements.
  • Step 2: Shortlisting for interviews is based on a combination of UCAT and Personal Statement (PS), with each given a score. The total combined score will be out of 25 points.
    • Minimum threshold for interview: 15/25
    • In the event of a tie-breaker, the UCAT VR score will be used.
    • Applicants scoring 14/25 may still be invited if they have a VR score above 600.

For a detailed breakdown, see the Keele Medical Admissions Specification.
